Day 26: Monday 23 June 2003. Stonehenge and Avebury.We planned a circular route around Stonehenge and Avebury, with a visit to Morag and June in Bristol. The plans came unstuck when we got very lost on the way to Avebury, but we did find an absolutely lovely canal with a huge flight of several dozen locks, so of course we just had to help a few barges through the locks. we got to Bristol rather late.
